Chi Nei Tsang
Abdominal bodywork for emotional and energetic balance
1:1 sessions — in person in Malta
Introduction
Chi Nei Tsang is a form of Taoist abdominal bodywork that supports deep emotional, physical and energetic balance.
This work focuses on the belly — an area often referred to as our second brain. The abdomen holds many of our organs, connective tissues and emotional imprints. Through gentle, mindful touch, Chi Nei Tsang supports the body in releasing tension, stagnation and held emotions.
Sessions are slow, respectful and deeply regulating for the nervous system.
What is Chi Nei Tsang?
Chi Nei Tsang originated within Taoist traditions and works with the internal organs, breath and energy flow through the abdomen.
Rather than treating symptoms, this work supports the body’s natural ability to restore balance. It creates space for the organs, tissues and nervous system to soften and reorganise.
Chi Nei Tsang works on multiple levels:
- physical
- emotional
- energetic
All touch is gentle, attuned and guided by what the body allows in the moment.
How Chi Nei Tsang may support you
Chi Nei Tsang can be supportive if you experience:
- chronic stress or tension
- digestive discomfort or abdominal holding
- emotional patterns stored in the body
- difficulty relaxing or feeling grounded
- a sense of disconnection from your centre
This work often brings a deeper sense of embodiment, clarity and inner stability.
How I work with Chi Nei Tsang
My approach to Chi Nei Tsang is trauma-sensitive, body-led and consent-based.
Sessions begin with a short check-in to sense what is present for you. Touch is always offered as an invitation, never a requirement. You remain in control throughout the session and are free to pause, adjust or stop at any time.
Chi Nei Tsang sessions may include:
- abdominal bodywork
- breath awareness
- moments of stillness and integration
Some sessions feel deeply releasing, others subtle and grounding. Both are equally valid.

Chi Nei Tsang & my broader work
Chi Nei Tsang is part of my wider body-based approach, which integrates:
- somatic healing
- breathwork
- embodied movement (yoga & Pilates)
- nervous system regulation
This allows the work to be integrated gently and sustainably into your body and daily life.
Practical information
- Sessions are offered in person only

What to expect in a Chi Nei Tsang session
Each session is slow, grounded and guided by your body’s responses.
We begin by taking time to arrive and settle. Touch is applied gradually, with attention to breath, sensation and comfort. There is no pressure to “release” or experience anything specific.
Emotions, sensations or memories may arise, or the session may feel calm and quiet. Space for rest and integration is always included.
An invitation
If you feel drawn to work with your body through gentle, abdominal-based touch, you are welcome.
Chi Nei Tsang offers a way to reconnect with your centre and support balance from within.
